Funding Options
In order to be sustainably successful, BotEco will require diversified funding sources and excellent fiscal management. Funding needs are currently two-fold: development and construction will require an initial investment. As development and construction is underway, Friends of BotEco is also working to develop a detailed budget and well-rounded portfolio of funds necessary for ongoing maintenance and operations.
Potential funding sources for development and construction include project-based grants; community fundraising and crowdfunding; donations of time, professional skills, and materials; and private or corporate donations.
Long-term funding for operations and maintenance will include all of the sources mentioned above as well as admissions fees; income from hosting events such as concerts, weddings, festivals, photography shoots, and art installations; volunteers to reduce operations costs; endowments and memorial funds; a gift shop; and membership donations.
