Ecological Education Facilities
​Our educational facilities and programs will contribute advancement of Great Lakes ecology and habitat now and for future generations, both locally and far-reaching. This will benefit the general public, particularly school-age children and young adults.

Year-Round Indoor Botanical Gardens
Our year-round indoor gardens will provide education, exploration, and health enhancement for the general public and for scientific study.  The community can come linger in our many gardens, such as Sister City Gardens, gardens of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula throughout the ages, and a memorial garden.

Historical Preservation
Our repurposing of this industrial structure will include historical preservation of and education about the ore dock. This will cultivate a greater community awareness of the role which mining has played in our area's history and culture.

Community Spaces
Our public spaces will bring venues to the community for educational and recreational purposes, including sharing and advancement of musical arts, visual arts, and ethnic celebrations.
